This was a marvelous park. We were here in the fall so during the week it was so quiet and peaceful and the weekend that we were here was the park's Halloween weekend which was very busy with lots of children of course, but lots of fun as well. The owners and staff at this park were wonderful. The park is absolutely immaculate. The downsides, which is why I gave them a lower "rating" were in spite of HUGE open areas, which is wonderful, there was no designated dog space - with all this space why not put in a large off leash area? Also, there were no laundry facilities on site. Additionally, we came into the park for three or four nights and due to unforeseen circumstances needed to extend which brought us into a week ~ however, the owner would not prorate us to a weekly rate, claiming that we needed to "sign up" for a weekly rate when we first came in!!! UGH ... guess that worked well for the campground however, since because of our situation we ended up needing to be there for a week and they got the daily rate - In spite of that, which really "turned me off" we would probably return here, but would certainly investigate through rvparkreviews the other campground(s) in the area.

We loved this park! But note we were here in the "off season" ~ as full timers we likely would not have been so enthusiastic about it in The height of the season but when we were here it was lovely, quiet and peaceful with great "nature" (walking or biking) trails. The bathrooms, showers and laundry (although we used none of them) were immaculate. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was distanced from restaurants etc - the closest being about seven miles away, apparently however, there is a pizza cafe or such on site it was not in operation while we were there (off season). Additionally, while there is a lovely man made "lake" there (which truly was lovely) it is NOT on Lake Huron and there didn't appear to be public access nearby, so the campground name is a bit misleading. Our rate for a 50 amp full hook up was based on the off season rate with a Good Sam discount. We would most certainly return here off season.

I wish there was an ability to post photos with reviews. We were here for two weeks, mostly to our own circumstance. When we pulled into the campground and turned off the coach as I went to check in the coach refused to start again! Beginning of a nightmare as we ended up being towed to a repair facility where we stayed for two nights (while paying $45. night at Shady Oaks) and as the locals mentioned to us, the campground is appropriately named. The day after the coach was repaired and we returned to the campground our sewer backed up, SERIOUSLY backed up, so the owners solution was to provide us with a 6" diameter piece of corrugated "hose" to run under our coach and TWO sites down for our entire stay. Needless to say, there was no outside activity for us with a sewer hose (a leaking hose at that, which was partially repaired with duct tape!!) running through our site. We ended up having to leave our coach to return to MA for medical reasons and the owners consented to allow us to leave it there unplugged, disconnected for 1/2 price, $22.50 a night to park!!! As previous posts mentioned the owners have issues with customer service and are clearly just not cut out for the business they are. The campground is in disrepair throughout and Mrs. owner works 12 to 15 hour days trying to keep up with it all. There is old rusted machinery throughout as well as "seasonals" with dilapidated outbuildings that someone has spray painted with the comment "paint or dismantle". While we were there the owner (Mr.) was discussing accepting an offer with someone making an offer on the property, so clearly he just wants to be done with it and it certainly shows. A truck stop would be better, a Wal-Mart would be better. Never again would we stay here, mostly because of the customer service/p.r. issues and the owners just don't care - it is obvious throughout the campground. With all that said, this is a lovely piece of land and I'm certain at one point it was a great campground, but the owners clearly just can't "do it" anymore. It has easy, very easy, on off access to interstate 87 with minimal highway noise.

We'd been coming to this park for years, but left the area. We just returned for a two week stay. While it is a clean park with lots of activities for children, it is a typical KOA. I feel it is grossly overpriced - $65./night (yes, it was a "deluxe site" meaning it had a patio and table with four chairs!!!). For this price I would certainly expect cable! For those visiting the area it would be a great location to partake in all the history that abounds ~ I guess if you knew ahead of time that it is over priced. The washing machines/dryers are rather dated (as are the restrooms/showers, although clean) - two out of six washers were out of order for the entire time we were there, and there are only three dryers.

This was a lovely, peaceful campground. While wifi is available it is NOT available at all sites (ours on the hill near the entrance included). I would have rated this a 9, BUT we asked for a pull through so we would not have to disconnect our tow trailer (preferably 50 amp) and that is where we were - 50 amp pull through. When I went to the office later during our stay to ask if we'd received our Passport America discount I was assured we did; it was then that I found out we'd been charged an extra $10. night for our trailer - no electric, no water was needed, but because we "took up a space" in an empty field we were charged an additional fee. We were never notified of this ahead of time and I am not so sure that we'd stay here again as $61 a night is a bit much. With all that said the campground was quite nice, peaceful and quiet.

I think this is the campground of my dreams. Quiet, peaceful, Mrs. owner was delightful, social, warm, welcoming woman. Very shaded sites. If (when) we stay here again we would request a site in the open area that I assume is a safari field sort of area. One of the things I appreciated most (beyond the peace and quiet) was there wasn't four pages of rules and regulations. There did appear to be a fair amount of seasonal sites, but when we were there they were mostly vacant. We would most definitely return here.

This was a lovely, peaceful, mostly retired adult campground. They do offer Passport America for four nights (limited) at $12.50 a night - how can you beat that rate. The office and maintenance staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating. Although the campground is right under interstate 91 the night highway noise was not a problem at all. The campground is about five miles from downtown Greenfield and 20 or so miles from Brattleboro, VT and all the areas have to offer. We would return here whenever we are within 75 or so miles of the property - it is worth going out of our way for. If you want a friendly, no frills place to stay this is it.

This rate was based on a monthly rate. This has always been one of our favorite New England campgrounds. They now have Wi-Fi in the office and a couple sites close by. Hopefully at some point it will be available at more sites. Most sites are nicely wooded and quite large (pull thru sites are not as wide as the back in sites). There are many seasonal sites here that are immaculately kept - most with small pretty gardens. The seasonal folks are very very friendly. The thing that has always impressed me about this campground is the owners - they can't do enough to help their campers and the grounds are always well kept, clean and lovely. It is clear that the owner works very hard to keep things up - he is a working machine who never seems to stop (NO I am not a relative, just a camper who wishes more owners would follow his ownership ethics). The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. Also, there is lots to do in the Deering, Hillsboro, Henniker area and several decent restaurants. We always look forward to our next visit at Oxbow.

The price quoted was with a Good Sam discount. Yes, it is expensive, but worth every cent of the price. ALL campgrounds, no matter what their size or amenities should take notes from Cherry Hill Park ~ they do it right. The office, phone and check in staff, as well as maintenance staff around the campground are outstandingly friendly and helpful. It appears they take pride in their job and go out of their way to make "guests" feel welcome and realize they are in a very high tourist area. The entire property was immaculate. Yes, it may be expensive to be there but they don't charge excessively for other things - supplies in the store or firewood - seriously wood for $2.00 a bundle or 3 bundles for $5.00 - these are bundles that other places charge $6.00 for, not to mention they put piles of wood throughout the grounds "for the taking". I just loved the business mind set of this campground. If we ever return to the area I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

The rate quoted was with a Good Sam discount. The highlight of this "resort" (I have no clue who decided this should be referred to as a resort, was that it was close to the interstate and easy to get into with little highway noise. The electric "pedestals" were falling over, the grass needed to be mowed. It is mostly permanent residents, many of whom leave between 5:00 and 6:00 am for, I assume, work. The best part of this place is the fact that at the interstate on/off ramp there is a gas station with very clean and easy to maneuver diesel pumps. We would never, under any circumstances return to this place - I would continue on the road for five more hours rather than bother with this grossly overpriced place. It seems that it is just a cash cow for whomever the owner may be and they have no intention of upkeep or improvements. The check in and people on the phones were very very friendly, but that is certainly no reason to bother to even pull off the highway for this place.

The rate quoted was Passport America rate. The new owners (18 months) are trying so hard and working constantly to improve their facilities. They have added sewer to some sites and created pull thru (although not huge pull thru) sites. They work non stop. My initial reaction to this campground was extreme displeasure as we tried for over an hour to get level on our site ~ this was a newly created site with a great deal of stone that just kept sinking as we lowered the jacks! It ended up being comical, to a fault. We enjoyed the peace and serenity of the property enough that we extended our stay by four days! It seems that perhaps that a majority of the sites are seasonal's but during the week the property had only three other sites occupied! Everyone was very very friendly - the office/owners were so helpful and accommodating and the seasonal's were very very friendly. We would absolutely return here. The town of Honesdale, although six or seven miles from the campground was a wonderful little town with a lot to offer.

The rate listed included a Good Sam discount. This was a terrific, low keyed campground. We had just spent over a week in Perry at the FMCA rally, which was very rainy and muddy so this "campground" was a delight! It was very easy to get to from the highway, easy to maneuver into a long pull thru site. The office staff was very helpful and friendly. The laundry area was wonderful, clean and all machines functioned and functioned at a reasonable price! The town of Statesboro was just a few miles down the road with many places to eat and shop if needed. This is a college town so has a lot of "energy" and a lot of culture to offer. There was a lovely botanical garden affiliated with the college. We would surely return to this terrific campground.

This rate was Passport America. This seems to be a struggling campground in a very depressed area. It claims to have a restaurant - it is closed. The pool, well it doesn't appear to have been open in the last few years. The owner and office staff were very friendly and very helpful. Because of the combined length of our unit and tow we were in the site closest to interstate 75 so there was quite a bit of highway noise. We did find plenty to keep us busy in the area however. If we were traveling nearby we would surely stop here again (and hopefully it will still be in existence) but would request a site as far as possible from the interstate. For the money, it was a great stop for a night or a few nights.

A nice Passport America park with long pull thru sites. I don't think the website shows an accurate picture of this property, but it was a great value (with PA) with very very pleasant and helpful staff. Majority of the sites are permanents but the sites are very very nicely kept and the people are quite friendly. We would definitely return using Passport America.

Interesting place this Whisper Creek. It was so over priced ~ and they consider it a "resort" (I've often wondered what the criteria for "resort" is other than beauty being in the eye of the beholder. Anyway, this is a 55+ mobile home community where they have developed a new section they are hoping to sell, but in the meantime they "rent" these on a nightly basis. They offer no discounts and take no credit cards. On the plus side these sites are very large and grassy. The mobile home residents are friendly, the office staff is very helpful, although not particularly warm and pleasant. Whisper Creek was a good, productive stop to get things done ~ shopping and cleaning etc. but we wouldn't bother to return unless the price were in the area of $10./night. I think it is particularly misleading to indicate in anyway that this is an "RV Resort" .

This is a clean, easily accessible park but at $40/night it is insanely priced! There are many many permanents here but they are certainly clean and neat. Every time we are here I wonder why we come back it is so expensive - a high price to pay for low flying airplanes! I think this was probably our last visit here - there must be something less expensive around.

This was a nice, very clean very peaceful Passport America Park. Close to Charleston. The park has a very strange layout of its sites but we would return here and request a specific site the next time. The laundry room was spotless.

This was a lovely park that the owners are putting their heart and soul into. They are very proud of their property and it shows! They were very helpful with local facts and suggestions of places to eat etc.. Very easy on/off route 95 without a lot of highway noise. The noise issue was, unfortunately the trains (five tracks) 1/4 mile down the road that started about 2:30 AM ... It was such a shame because this is just a lovely property, which is worthy of a "10" rating, but the trains, which the owners sadly have no control over, really put a damper on our experience there. We'd love to return but night after night of little sleep isn't a good thing for us!

What an outstanding Park. The staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable of the area. It was such an interesting concept to drive through and choose your own site. There were many many units that are there for extended periods of time and I'm not sure they all do the two week restriction rule. The long term people there were not particularly pleasant - they seem to have their own "click" but it was easy enough to over look that foolishness in such a lovely park. We would most definitely return here and hope we can get a site. I do like the fact that reservations are not accepted!

What a lovely, peaceful place. We had a site two "rows" back from the river. Also, close enough to down town Memphis and all that has to offer. There are several seasonal or permanent units but they are very well kept. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. This is one of the nicest places we have been in a long long time. Free laundry is a nice "touch". When I asked why they offer that I was told they don't like to "nickel and dime" their customers! That speaks volumes about the mind set of the owners here. We would most definitely return, in fact I would go out of my way to return here.

This is a Passport America park Sunday - Thursday only. Yes, 40' motorhomes can fit here but the roads in the campground are quite narrow and a bit challenging with a large tow vehicle behind 40' motorhomes! The sites are quite close together. There is a lot of highway noise. There is a dog walk and small fenced dog area but it is loaded with mosquitos. The campground does have tours to Nashville etc. They do have wifi that they don't charge extra for, which is nice because it is hit or miss if you will get on never mind be able to remain on for more than a few minutes. The cable tv is also "dicey". Because of the lovely shade trees we weren't able to use our satellite. All in all we probably would pass this one by if we are back in the area.

This was a decent place offering Passport America discount during the week but not weekends. Very easy on/off highway with Pilot gas station/truck stop across the street but no obvious noise. A lot of seasonal sites but they were clean sites. Immaculate laundry area and rest rooms. Office staff was very friendly and helpful. Several restaurants one exit down the road (2 miles or so). We would return here if we are in the area again.

This rate reflects a Good Sam discount. Easy on/off highway but as another review indicated it is challenging to find as it is not well signed at all. Also, this campground is about 7 miles south of Jackson in Byram, MS. Mostly seasonal sites, but they are clean. Long, level pull thru site with good electric. Lots of area surrounding the "campground" to walk a dog etc. We would return here if we are back in the area.

This was a decent campground with long pull thrus and a decent grassy area at each site. The staff was quite friendly and reasonably helpful. The down side to River Plantation was the awful traffic (which did NOT provide traffic noise at the campground). It was tee shirt store after tee shirt store after outlet center after outlet center. And a "dry county"!! Once we got outside that craziness the area was just beautiful.

This was a decent enough place. Clean and quiet as advertised when we were there. However, the roads between the sites are very very narrow which makes it quite challenging if you have a 38' motorhome towing a 30' trailer ~ thankfully it was not crowded when we were there - if it had been I am not sure we would have been able to maneuver out of the site. The office staff was very friendly and helpful and the campground was close enough to all that Hannibal has to offer. Because of the narrow roads I am not sure we would return, if we weren't a "big rig" we would definitely return.

This was a fine place for an overnight stop. Easy on/off highway and easy to find and no noticeable highway noise. They offer no discounts but at $21 night I guess it shouldn't be expected! The pull thru sites are long enough although there is a hill either into or out of all of them. There is a lot of space for dog walking around the property. This is mostly a seasonal campground but the residents were pleasant enough. We would return here for a night or two if we are in the area again.

This was a terrific find for those of us who don't want playgrounds and swimming pools and don't want to pay for them! Lovely shaded sites. As is typical at a fairgrounds lots of room to roam and walk and always something going on! The fairgrounds is about 1 1/2 miles from a grocery store and a Wal-mart is a few miles away. We would most definitely stay here again.

Our price was the Passport America price. This is a lovely, quiet place on a lake with a small beach area. They do have a mini-golf area and a playground. It was a bit of a challenge to get here - it isn't off a main highway that we know of but it was a nice ride through miles of cornfields and certainly worth the travel. It seems to be about half seasonal sites but they are very neat and tidy. The office staff was very friendly and helpful on the phone and in person. We would most definitely return here.

Easy on/off highway. Very friendly, helpful owner. Priced in the usual KOA fashion (high). Long pull thru, fairly level but very close sites. There is a "lake" here - not sure what its function is, perhaps just beauty but it is very low, mucky and a breeding ground for flying biting critters. There isn't much beauty in it anymore. This campground is very dog friendly with several "pet walk" areas, complete with bags and scoops! There is also a good sized fenced area for dogs complete with "agility" stations. We would return to this campground but only as a last option because of the price.

Our nightly rate was based on a weekly rate. This park was decent and clean enough and easy on/off the highway. The highway noise is nearly intolerable. We will be leaving here to move to a quieter campground at 1/2 the price (based on monthly rate). I need a good nights sleep which is impossible here. Like I said it is a decent, clean place ..... but sleep is important to me. We would not return here because of the noise, constant noise.

Our rate was based on a monthly rate. We love this fairgrounds. There are no amenities - pools, etc. that we don't use anyway so we thought the price was very fair. It seems there is always something going on at the fairgrounds but far enough away that there is no noise. In fact we are not aware of an event unless we are out walking and come across it. We love Sioux Falls and all the culture here as well as all the restaurants etc. The Fairgrounds are close to the downtown area (2 miles or so) as well as a minor league baseball stadium, shopping etc. We will definitely be back to the Fairgrounds.

A beautiful, peaceful park. Foolishly expensive tho. The owner is very helpful and friendly. Very nice long pull thru site plenty big enough for our 38' motorhome and 30' cargo trailer to stay connected and still have room to park our car in our site. There is a heated pool here but we didn't use it. Also, there is a community camp fire pit rather than fire pits at sites which we prefer, but this may be a city ordinance, but perhaps because the sites are a bit close it would be too dangerous. We would probably stay here again but would try other campgrounds in the area because this is typical KOA very over priced.

This campground is meticulously kept with owners on site and working constantly. The owner even trimmed branches of a tree in our site so we could get better satellite reception. The owner is very pleasant, accommodating and hard working showing great pride in his campground. There is, however, not a lot to do in Fillmore! We would absolutely return here. We wanted to extend our stay but could only extend by one night as our site and others sized to accommodate us were booked. We travel in a 38' motorhome towing a 30' trailer so size and maneuverability are very important to us and this campground was terrific at both.

This was a very nice campground. Easy to find and well laid out. Grass and gravel sites, perhaps a bit close but the pull thrus were plenty long and easy to maneuver into. It was priced rather high (price includes KOA "discount") but that is typical of KOAs in my opinion. There were no sites available at other campgrounds in the area but we would stay here again if the if there was nothing else available.

Like a previous review stated - supply and demand. The positive for this place is easy on/off highway. Sites are close, very, very close. Trucks to a gravel pit are constantly up and down the campground driveway (one every five minutes!! UGH), six huge fuel (??) tanks at the campground - this place is grossly, grossly over priced, but then again we paid it - never again. We would definitely pass this by the next time - truck stops, rest areas or Walmart parking lot would be much better. $39. night with KOA "discount" was absolutely insane.....

This park is very nicely maintained. If you like the smell of horse manure and the sound of traffic this is the park for you. It is poorly marked from the very nearby highway and easy to miss. There are many permanent units here, well kept and neat. While the park may have been big rig friendly 10 years ago, I would hardly consider it so in 2008. Our site was listed as 75' however our 70' combined length overhung the road on both ends. While the staff is friendly and tries very hard to please they have NO area maps, no information on local attractions. All this said I wonder if the park is at the end of its life and perhaps selling out. It seems so odd to have NO local info at all! I am not a huge KOA fan and prefer to stay elsewhere if available, as in this case, but if we returned to the area I would try the KOA first.

This was a good park. Check in person was not the most pleasant but all in all it was a good stay with Passport America rate. Being Pahrump, there was a lot to do in the area. This is an ownership park that seemed somewhat tired but not awful. No landscaping etc. at sites, they have made a decent attempt at dog areas, although they are not large for bigger dogs to get much exercise but at least they have tried. We would surely stay here again.

This campground was alright if you don't expect or want much. The pull thru sites were large but it is in the desert so there isn't any shade. We were there in May and it was 107 degrees out and the pool wasn't open! Other than the casino on the property there isn't much around for 40 miles or so. Well there is Death Valley which was terrific. We'd stay there again if we had to.

This campground is very easy in and out from the highway. The pull thru site we had was large enough to accommodate us without unhitching our tow trailer. The weekly rate was exceptionally reasonable even with electric in addition to the rate. This campground claims to be dog friendly. I would say they tolerate dogs but are not particularly welcoming to the point that anyone with a dog--particularly nightly or weekly "guests"-- is suspected of wrong doing which I found a bit offensive. I do understand that some dog owners are not very responsible, but the fact that I own a dog (a large dog) does not automatically make me suspect for anyone's wrong doings. The owners are very involved in the maintenance and upkeep of this well kept park. The laundry facilities were immaculate although the soap machines were empty. Because of the lack of welcoming feeling to dog owners we would probably pass this one up if we were in the area again.

UGH what to say. If you aren't into casinos I can't imagine why anyone would come here. It is a multi level dirt (with small cement pads) parking lot. It was probably the worst place we've been to in months of full timing and I have no desire to stay here again. Like I said if you are into casinos it is probably great.
